URBAN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

If you are ready to develop marketable job skills, the Urban Empowerment Program will provide you job training, help you earn your GED and link you directly to a job opportunity. Through the program you will...

Receive one-on-one support with a Case Manager to create your individual Development Plan.

Attend life skills classes and job training Mondays - Thursdays from 8am - 4pm for a minimum of four weeks prior to job placement.

Continue academic support after job placement, if necessary.

Receive a stipend during the training period.

Receive transportation to training.
Receive a career opportunity earning a minimum of $7/hour upon completion of the program

Urban Empowerment Program - provides paid internships and skills training for youth between the ages of 18 and 24. This program is designed to help out of school and/or adjucated youth to obtain life skills, job training, and a GED. The Urban League's Youth Empowerment Program is a comprehensive program that helps participants to achieve self-sufficiency through continued education and employment.
