Mission Statement
The mission of the Urban League of Greater New Orleans Parent Information Center is to equip and empower parents to be successful agents and advocates for excellent public schools.

The Parent Information Center core objectives are:

Work with schools and school leaders to institutionalize a process for parents to access quality education options
Build a parent agency collaborative
Build a group of informed, engaged, powerful parents

Help in maximizing parental choice
Provide parents with current and accurate information about educational choices in the Orleans Parish Schools via workshops
Translate and disseminate printed materials so that parents can better understand the process of registration and enrollment.
Promote annual showcase/school fairs or open houses that allow families to tour schools and learn about specific school programs
Create informational brochures and posters that advertise educational opportunities in Orleans Parish Schools by placing publications at neighborhood stores, churches, health clinics, community organizations, hospitals and supermarkets
